Job Description:
The position suits a high energy, proactive team player with the ability to develop proposal and working drawings in a fast-paced environment. Sharing our commitment to project quality and client satisfaction in a design-build atmosphere, the successful candidate will be able to work in a team environment with guidance from senior staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working on construction drawings for Commercial, Industrial, and Multi-Dwelling Residential Building projects including but not limited to the following:
- Preparation and production of Architectural and/or structural based drawings such as:
- Architectural Site Plans, Floor Plans, Reflective Ceiling Plans, Roof Plans, Cross-sections and details, Finish / Door / Window Schedules
- Structural Foundation plans, Sawcut plans, Roof framing plans, wall framing elevations.
- Coordination of revisions/mark-ups as per directions.
- Coordination of drawings with C/M/E/P drawings.
- Liaison with the Development Team, Estimating, and Construction Project Managers as required.
- This is an in-Office position in LaSalle, Ontario. (no remote work)
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful applicant will have minimum 2 - 5 years’ experience.
- Strong organizational and communications skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, practices and the O.B.C. would be considered an asset.
- Must have high knowledge and skills with drawing application programs in AUTOCAD with or without Architectural Desktop.
- Experience with Sketch-up and other rendering programs would be an asset
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
